  • Using the board to buy players in Network game is broken

    Hello,

    I am not sure the extent of which this issue entirely but pretty sure it is a true issue. I am playing a network game on an edited database where we try as best as we can to make all the human clubs start with the same reputation, status and finances. We are now almost 2 seasons into this save and in April 2022 I made a big for Camavinga. It was a structured deal starting with £42m up front and end up at £62m with various clauses. Both my friend and I had Camavinga on our shortlist and he claims he had been declaring interest and sending his scout to watch games. Nonetheless, bottom left of my screen showed that Camavinga had less interest in my friend's team. I gave him a contract of roughly 180kpw with a signing on fee of 9.5m and a playing time of "Star Player". Now at this point my friend asks his board to buy Camavinga, and they duly place a bid of £60m. Roughly 3 days later I came back to the contract negotiations and increased my contract offer to:

    • £220kpw
    • £10m signing bonus
    • £1.2m more in bonuses

    Roughly 3 days later, Camavinga choses to sign for my friend's team with the following contract:

    • A much lower basic wage
    • A much less significant playing time agreement
    • A lower signing bonus
    • A lower agent fee (I gave the max I could - £1.1m)
    • No competition bonuses
    • The one positive of this contract vs mine was the Yearly Wage Rise

    Just for clarity and context, I am in the Europa League while my friend only made Euro II (conference). I finished higher last season, and I am currently higher in the league. The reason given by the player was that my friend's team was "slightly better" than mine. I am happy to send the save file for you guys to ascertain whether that is indeed true but even if it was I feel the drastic difference between the contracts should have mitigated for that.

    Based on all of this, I'm fairly certain this is a bug. I think it has gone undetected for a while because it's a bug that doesn't matter for the single player aspect of this game. However for the network aspect of this game this is a very game breaking bug which I would suggest needs fixing as soon as possible. Thank you.

    • Steps To Reproduce:
      Edit database to make 2 identical clubs
      Bid for player with one club via normal transfer screen and give contract requested by player to be bought
      Bid for same player with second club via the board request
      Change the contract offer from the first club to a maximum contract

    I don't have one right before it as at the time my friend was being shady and wouldn't tell me what went down, so I didn't know it was a bug. I have a save from late January. If you holiday to April I suspect you could recreate the issue. I will upload this save it will be called FMDMV2-forSI
