  • Youths don't improve in youth teams

    Hey,

Idk if it is a bug or intentional but this seems wrong. I am 6 seasons in my save and I noticed youth players almost don't improve in youth teams. But in the same time, if I loan them to a small club with worst facilities and they play 2-3 games as starter and a few as substitutes over a season, they will improve significantly. If I give them a similar amount of game time in my first team, this won't result in anything close to the improvements I notice when they are sent in loans.

For example this guy, he stayed 2 years in my u19 => no improvements. Then I sent him on loan, in a 1 star rep club in 3rd division, while I managed a 2,5 star rep club in first division. They have worst facilities and no coach. Yet with only 2(7) games over a season, he improves significantly. I can send other examples if needed.

Really sorry for the lack of response here. The Beta forums are particularly busy initially and sometimes threads will slip through the net when we're responding.

Could you confirm whether this is still an issue after the latest update? If so, I'll get this moved across to the main forums and we can get it investigated promptly.

Thanks again for taking the time to raise this.

Thanks for your answer. Since then, I noticed with better facilities, youths improve in a normal way. Given the protest in the general section about youth development (here), I would say it is still an issue. Right now, with bad facilities, loans seems the only way, other than gametime in the first team, to expect some improvements with youth players.
