When getting a player on loan-back upon selling him, the player is treated like a 'new' player in a lot of scenarios. For example, the player is unregistered as captain/vice-captain and removed from set-piece duties, under dynamics the player is described as 'settling in' etc. However, it is clear the game knows that this is a loan-back and not a new transfer, as under supporter happiness for this transfer, the player only appears as a transfer out (and not a transfer in), with supporters commenting on the fact that they are glad this player was loaned back until the end of the season.
