Hello,
in Czech divisions, the winter transfer market opens on 26th of January. The winter break usually ends around 17th. All players with future transfer in January in that case lose the ability to take part in pre-season training etc. In real life the player joins the club the 1st day of winter pre-season. Everything else is just paperwork.
