This has only happened to me once, but it's one more time than I'd expect to happen in real life.
One of my players pulled up injured while on the ball and instead of kicking the ball out of play, passed it into space, for their player to pick up and eventually they score from, before sitting down injured. I could maybe understand this happening if my player was too injured to continue, but he was able to carry on and finish the match without even an orange injury marker
