When a defender with significantly lower aerial stats than their peers is present in a defending set pieces (e.g. a U21 CB playing in a friendly amongst the first XI), they will be assigned to stay up by the set piece coach, particularly when the ST is aerially good (and therefore assigned to stay back/mark by the set piece coach). This leads to situations where in the moments after a set piece, the CB has to sprint back into position, which makes no sense. Similarly, sometimes a low-level striker is left as the last man/stay back on an attacking set piece.
