  • Promotion in 2026?

    On April 16, 2020, the Ascenso MX, the 2nd division of the Mexican football league system, was folded due to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic as well as the lack of financial resources. Liga MX President Enrique Bonilla later announced during a video meeting with the club owners of the league that promotion and relegation would be suspended for six years

    I simulated testsave until season 2030, and no promotion/relagation at all in Mexico. Fix this please

    Unfortunately there will be no promotion/relegation in FM24.

    For many years we have tried to simulate what will happen on following seasons given the statements and plans from the Liga MX. However, with change of plans every season and the supposed merge between Expansion League and Sub23 League not happening in the end, it was decided to keep the structure of this season for the long haul as it was too late to add new rules for later years.

    Hopefully there will be a bit more clarity on time to get pro/rel back for FM25.
