It is not a bug.  Burnley players underwent a 45% wage reduction on relegation.  To get them back to a similar wage should the club get promoted back to the Prem would take an 82% increase.

I don’t think the clause would  be 82% for every single player though. Also for example Ashley Barnes is on 27k a week, no way he’s on 82% more should we be promoted. Defo a bug, allthough there absolutley will be some form of % promotion rise.

If you wish to change it to suit what you think it should be, then you are perfectly entitled to do that, @Grimbles.  This percentage only takes the players back to what they were on before relegation, unless they have signed a new deal in the meantime.  Across the board, fans of teams that are promoted always under-estimate the wage increases involved in promotion to the Premier League.  Many years of comparing estimates to actual financial results, when they are eventually made public, underline this, time and again.
