RobertPage
playing brighton in a FA Cup replay and was 2-0 up and then conceded two late goals to take it to extra time where i went on to win 4-2. I told my team at the end of the game that they had a let off and had to step it up against tougher opposition. Half players reacted good and half bad and one player even 'slated' me because of the team talk. I'm liverpool, 3rd in the premier league and it took 2 legs and extra time against a 15th place championship team to go through to the next round of the FA Cup. Surely i had every right to say what i said? Also early on in the season Sahko was unhappy with my team talk and was the only one in the whole team to react badly and still has it as a minor unhappyness. Auqakuh
What's your reputation level? Also, had the players who were annoyed played well or poorly? And finally, if they had played well, did you bother with individual talks to those players to make sure they knew their contribution was valued? Oh, and what tone did you use for the overall talk? And one last Q: what's your team blend like?
