the blue ferret Posted December 23, 2008 Share Posted December 23, 2008 There is this rule in FM where you cannot sign under 18's from outside the E.U. I don't understand it, I'm pretty sure you can. Portsmouth did it with Tawrick Jibril. He is 16 from Hearts of Oak in Ghana and they signed him. They have shipped him out to on loan in Belgium to get a WP I believe but he is a Portsmouth player. Even if he isn't allowed to play for them until he is 18, they are still benefiting from his time spent in Belgium to get citizenship. In FM you can pre-sign a player under 18 but he won't arrive until he is 18 and only then can you take advantage of your work permit feeder clubs.
