Scoring Problems.

I have recently started playing a game as Crystal Palace. Straight away i couldn't win any games, this was due to tactics.

So i came here looking for tactics help and i looked at Lukaboi's tactic.

Formation:

3-5-2

Empashis- Normal

Passing-Direct

Tackling-Hard

Pressing-Yes

Offside Trap- No

Counter Attack- No

Men Behind Ball- No

Passing all set to 'Team'

Tackling all set to 'Team' except 3 Cm's

Pressing- Keeper set to 'Team'; 3 Cb's set to 'No' and all rest set to 'Yes'

All Pass to R/L/C

Set Pieces (A)- Keeper set to 'Normal'; Lm and Rm set to 'Back' and all rest 'Forward'

Set Pieces (D)- Keeper set to 'Normal' all Midfielders and Defenders set to 'Back' and 2 strikers set to 'Forward'

Free Role- All no but the middle Cm set to 'Yes'

Forward Runs- Keeper, Defenders & Forwards set to 'No' all Midfielders set to 'Yes'

Run With Ball- All 'No' except Middle Cm and Wingers who are set to 'Yes'

Hold Up Ball- All 'No' except Cm's set to 'Yes'

Long Shots- All 'No' except Cm's set to 'Yes'

Through Balls- All 'No'

Cross Ball- All 'No' except Wingers who are 'Yes'

Marking- Keeper, Middle Cm and Strikers set to 'None' and rest set to 'Man'

I think that is it.

Anyway, the tactic has worked great, from finishing 16th and 11th in my first two seasons, i have just finished 3rd . However only scoring 61 goals. In comparision, Preston who finished 14th had scored 62.

I am now preparing to win the championship in my 4th season, purchasing Benjani on a free transfer to add some strike power.

But i don;t know why i seem to still be scraping 1-0 or 2-1. Is it because of lack of striking talent?

nope ive had the same problems as you ive only scored 16 goals in 22 games. Eveyone has had similar things happen with not scoring many goals.

im sure after a while we will all develop our own ways of getting the best out of our players

I only ever score more than two goals - even against the really cack teams - if their goalie gets a 3 or a 4 rating! Theres does seem to be a bias towards low scoring games, in my opinion.

Im struggling to win let alone score this year!

was sacked by man.utd 3 months in even though i had no warning apart from 1 message about the fans protesting board had simply said the were a little dissapointed!

I am really struggling to score goals with Man United.

I am playing a 4-4-2 with the following players:

Kuszczak

Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Ronaldo Kaka Anderson Nani/Giggs

Rooney Berbatov/Tevez

Rooney is not scoring and is averaging a 6, likewise the other 2 strikers. Vidic keeps getting 5s!

What's going on?

Also here problems to score goals, 24 played, won 1, draw 22, lost 1, goals for: 20, goals against: 4

I'm having problems too. My game finally arrived yesterday and so far I've played 3 lost 3 as Chelsea. I need to try out a few of the tactics on here I guess but I don't wanna do a 3-5-2. Need to find some kind of 4-4-2 variant that works.
