Butters76
Have played some with Arsena and With Rosenborg and I has great success as long as I play one of the 4-4-2 diamond tactics with no wingers. It seems you need both an anchor man (DM) and a AMC to be successful. you need the anchorman to keep defensive control and you need the AMC to create lots of chances. Whats your take on this, Everytime I play a normal 4-4-2 I have to rely on luck and coincidence to score goals and I never feel safe at the back. r0x0r
I play a flat 4-4-2 with Arsenal and so far I'm doing well enough, playing nice football too. In fact, when I try to switch to a narrower formation my team tends to lose it's bite a little.
Butters76
OK, I take it back, I've now gotten a 4-4-2 based on the std 4-4-2 attacking formation, but it took some tweeking to get it working. But in use it is kind of a diamond formation, just wider than the pre-made 4-4-2 diamond formations. Ass man is still nagging about the gap between midfield and defence, but it seems to be working now. I'm consistantly creating good chances and seem pretty stable at the back. Beat Hull, Newcastle, Roma and Fulham after I stopped tweaking and it's looking good in 3D. But I'll see when I meet better teams.
