fm 12 black screen bug

hi,i have fm 12 but when i start it,after the sega add and sponsors,there's a black screen that never goes. i was told to right click on the fm12 desktop shortcut and got to target and add "--reset_preferences" to whatever was written in the target box.it still didnt work.then i was told to add something else there,i tried that too,but the problem persists, please help out .thanks
