International Withdrawals

Is there any way of reasoning with the manager, criticising the manager or overriding the withdrawal? I am getting fed up with 2 teams in particular (Inter and Man City) withdrawing their players from my England squad.

The City player is a very good striker, he is taken out of the squads for all friendlies when I name him in the squad. The Inter player is an AMRC and he's kind of new to the set up, but again taken out of friendlies.

Also, it turns out that City only have a caretaker manager at the moment. The news item says my relationship with those clubs is under strain but doesn't give me any opportunity - that I can see, anyway - to have a say on this.

Any ideas?

Not a chance of overriding the withdrawal. He's their player, after all.

I'd recommend you build on your relationship with the clubs: praise the two managers in the media etc, maybe pick a couple of the clubs' younger players for your squad, and only pick the stars when you need them (ie for qualifiers and tournaments, not for friendlies, especially if they are experienced internationals.)
