Interesting Chairman changes

Recommended Posts

Was just glancing at the news in my current game (Oct 2013) when I happened to spot an item refering to the chairman of Hartlepool, one Mike Ashley. Hartlepool are in league 2, and 'local businessman' Mike Ashley took over in mid 2012. I was interested to see if this was the infamous Mike Ashley of beer downing competent manager firing Sports Direct repute. It seems Ashley left Newcastle (top of the table I might add with Martin O'Neil in charge) to be replaced by another 'local' businessman, one Barry Hearn (!), who left Leyton Orient and then pitched up in geordieland three months later. It would appear then that the fortunes of chairmen can vary quite dramatically over the course of the game! Anyone else spotted something like this?
