Lenzar
In my journeyman game, I won the Second Division - Central at a canter. However, only two of the three divisional champions get promoted. Maritimo B won the North section and thus are in the playoffs. Can a B team be promoted or will I and the Southern champions go up regardless? Coentrao
Since Maritimo should be on the top flight unless they got relegated to the Orangina, Maritimo B should still get the promotion.
Lenzar
That's quite disappointing really. I'm glad I won't be continuing to manage in Portugal as the lower league setup is such a crock of ****.
Coentrao
It's frustrating.. i remember on my Real SC save i walked the league easily then bottled it on the play-offs and didn't get promoted It also happens on the Segunda Division B of Spain if i remember right.. Lenzar
The whole system seems to favour the Liga Orangina. Two teams relegated? No wonder some of the teams in the Second Division are so tiny! Is there a historical reason for why it's so unbalanced (two teams from Liga Orangina get relegated, yet four from each Second Division!)
Coentrao
When we had 18 teams on Orangina, there were 3 teams relegated and 3 promoted.. but ever since both professional leagues were reduced that they changed the system. I guess that they feel that 3 teams relegated out of 16 is too much.
