OohAahCantona
Hey guys, so I understand for a player to count as the player trained for 3 years etc etc... Does a play joining you the day he turns 18 fit into that? If the answer to that is yes, does signing brazilians and getting them to meet the criteria depend on them being born in the transfer window?
michaeltmurrayuk
As long as you have signed them in the season they turn 18 they should count as Homegrown provided you keep them at your club/country for the three years. (You'll find out for definite when you sign them as in the Homegrown view it will tell you when they qualify as Homegrown if they can).

Yes If the answer to that is yes, does signing brazilians and getting them to meet the criteria depend on them being born in the transfer window? No So long as you sign them before they are 18. Even with no work permit, after spending whatever part of the three years the transfer window will allow, at your feeder club, they will become Home Grown. (players that is). It's kind of similar to the process of gaining nationality. Say it's 3 years, nationality will be granted if the player spends just over 10 months each year at the feeder club. This allows you a short burst of training and tutoring throughout the transfer window, before you ship them off in the last week.
pigfacemonkeyman
Actually I have never had one join my club in the winter transfer window but I can't see why it should make a difference.
