CazzaLTFC
Seeing as it looks like my laptop needs an updated graphics card so I can actually play FM11 with the patches, is it possible to update from an integrated card to a better highly quality one? Maidel
Yes and no. How good are you with PCs? If the answer isnt 'very' then I would suggest speaking to a proffesional about it - but the price might be more than a new pc.
CazzaLTFC
I know my basics, any further than that then I struggle! I mean I can cope with version 11.0 at the moment, I can get a pretty decent game going, without many bugs, looks like I'll have to be content with that! Bruun
All depending on which laptop you got. Some laptops can be configured to have a graphics card, others cant.
athos
I believe the correct term is upgrade, not update. An integrated graphic card is no way to play games on a laptop. Get a Radeon or GeForce card.
CazzaLTFC
Ok, how do I go about upgrading my graphics card to a radeon or geforce?
athos
Take the current one out; buy and put in a new one. For a laptop, you should get professional help to do that.
Maidel
The problem with laptops is space. In a normal pc there is a lot of 'air' inside and that allows you to replace old, smaller cards with big new flashy ones with huge fans. In a lap top you simply dont have the space to shove in a normal card, and chances are you can only replace a card in a lap top that already has one - if its not already got one in place then you might be unable to replace it because their simplly might not be the space available inside the case.
