Goofus Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 Ever had a game where you feel the gods of FM just aren't looking your way? Mine was a Champions League Round of 16 Match against Inter. I lost 2-0 at Giussepe Meazza and had it all to do at Old Trafford. As the game progresses, I'm clearly in control of the game, with Inter content to park the bus and soak up the pressure. In the end, I only manage to score one goal (Jonny Evans '77) and proceed to hit the woodwork THREE times, including a near range shot that Nani fluffs Inter have not ONE shot on target. My team's finishing was simply mediocre today. Anyone else had games like this? Where you're clearly not meant to win? robertcornell68 Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 In a recent game, due to suspensions and injuries I had precisely zero centre backs in my squad, so I was forced to use central midfielders as emergency stop-gaps.
