Sommerville27
I just took over at Portsmouth at the start of the 12/13 season and they were just awarded £8million for their recent relegation, however they havent been in the Premier League since the 09/10 season. Is this supposed to happen? I was under the impression the relegation parachute was only for the teams relegated in the previous season, or do teams get it for a few seasons? Chris M
It's now just under £50m max, spread over 4 years, so its quite right they should recieve the money if they haven't been promoted back in the mean time. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/10/football-league-agree-parachute-payments
