Arranging international friendlies

Haven't bought the new version yet, as I'm still waiting for patches. So I'm playing FM10, and one of the things that annoy me are international friendlies. I'm managing Germany, and the 2014 European Championship is nearing. But I won't be able to play any practice games for over 6 months before it! There are a couple of international game days before the tournament, but the option to arrange a game is greyed out. All (or almost all) the other national teams do play friendlies though..I had the same problem previously with Italy in another save. So I'd like to know if this has been fixed for the current version?

there are friendly dates in february, march, and i do believe early june but it is a bit of a problem in prep. for a tournament, use the team settings and get your assistant to arrange the friendlies that usually sorts out any problems i may have regarding opponent availability
