babbster
As the title says, really. I tend to listen to the pre-match advice and will switch formations, defensive line, tempo, etc according to my Assistant Manager's assessment of the other team's weaknesses. If an opponent is vulnerable to teams who push up, and play narrow, then I'll push up and play narrow. The downside here is that it stops my team completely settling into a formation or style of play. I guess that makes me a Tinkerman, but I have wondered if I would be better off sticking to one or two formations and getting the most out of them. Do some of my less adaptive players play worse for constant chopping and changing? How much attention do you pay to this pre-match advice?
ManUTactician247
I listen to the defensive line, tempo and width but I tend to stick with my formation to get my players used to my tactic
Bababui
Id stick to 3 formations..a normal. attacking and defensive and train them in the match preparation screen to get them into the fluid zone. Id also look at your next opponent and use the 'emphasis on attacking' or emphasis on the defending' according to circumstances. I would not listen to the assistant unless you are just learning the game.
