TJJESSE Posted November 10, 2010 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Whenever i finish installing the game it always says error please check your installation log. Then after i never see any shortcuts for the game or any options on for fm on the start menu to accses the editor. Plus it never asks me for the activation key on the back of the game. Irchard Posted November 10, 2010 Share Posted November 10, 2010 This isn't a problem at all. It's a weird conflict with some random thing in Windows that nobody uses. It won't affect anything. You can start the game by finding fm.exe in C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011 Create a shortcut to that file on your desktop or in your Start menu or wherever you want. If you installed offline (ie. without using Steam), you won't need the key. You WILL need to have the DVD in the drive whenever you want to play the game, however. (Installing and activating via Steam removes the need to have the disc in the drive) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
