JBoyd33641
Just finished my first year with Man City, and took the France job as they fired their previous coach for a bad World Cup. Have a couple of questions for managing a national team: 1. Should I let go the previous staff and try to bring over my own? I tried offering my assistant at Man City the France assistant job, but he declined. 2. Should I let my assistant manager schedule friendlies? Im not sure how many need to be scheduled per year for a national team. 3. Does managing a National team help in signing players that are on that team? Can you use it as an advantage in buying the players in any way for my Man City team?
AbsoluteGenius
1. Choose whoever you think will make the best assistant manager. 2. You should schedule the friendlies (there's only a few of them) so you can choose appropriate teams, but if you might forget then let your assistant manager do it. 3. You can build rapport with players, especially if you give them their international debut as it instantly places you on their favoured personnel list.
