Player wants to leave club; changes mind

The title didn't do this post justice, so I apologize in advance for any misunderstanding. Here goes:

Player (my vice-captain, in fact) decides he must move to a bigger club to win trophies. I let this go for awhile. He keeps mouthing off in the press that he is desperate to leave.

I transfer list him.

The entire team HATES me because of it. The players morale plummets.

I leave him on the transfer list, and a couple weeks later, he "doesn't want to leave the club."

I take him off the transfer list.

The NEXT DAY, he's in the press saying he wants to leave the club to get trophies.

There's got to be some way to address this in this game. If I transfer list him, the entire team hates me because of the "unfair treatment." If I don't transfer list him, he gets whiney.

Either way, his morale continues to plummet.

Ideas?

I've seen this lots in my lower team management teams. It'r really messed up.

Until SI fixes it, all you can do (for the sake of the team morale) is to sell * as soon as you can.

(* = whiner)

If you're lower leuage, you'll replace him easily.

If you're top leauge, tough ****, welcome to the real world

Make use of your youngsters tbh.

Point of thre thread: When a key player starts whining, cur you losses and sell him.

You'll get someone 3 times better on a free anyway. *
