Insert_Goal_Here
I tried to load my save game today and it came up with "cannot load saved game" then I tried to reload and it said "Football Manager is running dangerously low on memory and will now close." or words to that effect. I didn't install it through steam. Its a pretty large save file. Over 12 days worth of play. Is the size of the file causing problems? how can I retrieve the save? I never had problems before. Blue Saint
You´ll just have to make sure you have enough system memory, also the paging file or what its called, your virtual harddrive memory is set to the right amount 1.5 your RAM memory i believe is the best setting. If you´re unsure on how to do this have a look at Goggle for all tricks and suggestions on how to. Like first, close other programs that may be running in the background is something you´ll want to have a look at. Besides that its just to go out and get better hardware mate. Edit: To clarify setting your virtual memory; if you have 2Gb system memory set it to maximum size 3Gb. 2 x 1.5 = 3.

Koki
I had that problem thrice lately. What helped was simply rebooting the computer. To prevent losing savegames you should always set your autosave to 'incremental'.
