handling media - regarding jobs

Hi,

I'm currently managing Worcester on the game after starting unemployed. I got them promoted in my first season and I'm riding comfortably in the conference. I've been linked with the vacant brentford job. I would be very interested in taking the job and I've been given the situation where I can annouce in the press that I am interested or not interested.

If I say I'm interested, would that mean that Brentford may come in with an offer? Or will it just **** worcester off!?

I know that makes me seem like a bit of a mercenary, but I want to rise up as quick as possible.

Its just media speculation. You are the bookies favourite to be offered the job, but the bookies arent always right.

Declaring your interest could lead the fans to hate you and you could end up with the sack, and still not get the Brentford job.

Personally, unless I really dont want the job, I just press refuse to comment (or whatever it is) and see if they offer me the job or not. Then if they do, reject it anyway

Yeh unless your certian you want the job i wouldnt go declaring intrest, otherwise like dan sed it could cause you some problems with your current club
