boneykingofnowhere
Youth team players cannot sign pro contracts until they are 18. How badly does this affect their development compared to managing in Eng/Spa/Ita ? Is it still worth investing in U18's? or worth leaving them at their current club until they are old enough to sign pro terms with you?
andrespringett
its only a year more than the english, i dont think it makes much of a difference. I have 3 quality french players in my saved game.
vrisk85
How can a contract make any difference in youth development ? Other than the obvious can't be loaned thing.
boneykingofnowhere
because im alking about the age at which they can sign pro contract. In France this is at 18. In Eng 17. So a youth player in England gets 12 months more FULL TIME training, as opposed to Youth training, which is basically part time. Im only enquiring as at this young age physical stats especially improve the fastest. I would imagine the difference in amount of CA added to a player in this 12 month period between full and youth contracts to be quite big.
robzilla
How can a contract make any difference in youth development ? Other than the obvious can't be loaned thing. Because players can only train on youth schedules when they have a youth contract so players who can sign a pro contract at 17 start training with the big boys a year earlier than those who sign a pro contract at 18.
