Sound
ON FM10 is a players Transfer Value default an accurate representation of how much they're worth or should you be usually paying more than it. I say this because often when I try to sign a player I am continuosly bumping up the fee to try and sign them. So shouldI ever expect to pay their actual value. edgar555
If a player is happy, has a long contract and is important to the club you may have to pay as much as 3 times his value and even then it may not be enough for some players (Messi/Gerrard and the like). If a player is unhappy, unwanted, transfer listed then you may get them for less than their value (check the asking price on each players transfer screen). Players whose contracts are running out (a year or less left) are likely to be available at good prices (less than or close to value). Your relationships with other managers also affect likelihood of them doing business with you, as will bidding on a rival teams players. Hope this helps.
