robertcornell68
It turns out my French goalie is playing badly because he's lonely. Should I buy players in pairs? Or just leave the team as a multi-cultural soup and wait for them to learn English?
Latimerinho
It's a nice touch, actually. Particularly with youngers, I do try and buy two of the same nationality as it reduces the possibility of the player(s) feeling unsettled. Even if one is not quite so good, there's no harm in training them then eventually selling - perhaps while the other excels and gets to a point where they're settled in their new environment. In saying that, if you have decent scouts it's not difficult to sign more than one player with good potential. I think if another player speaks the same language this also counts. Numerous times, particularly during a conference, I've had a source mention that one of my current players speaks Spanish for instance, and whether you think this will help 'X' settle (or something to that effect). UPM
Yeah, sometimes it's better off having a player or two who can speak the same language, that's why you get asked about it in the press conferences. I guess you could just pick up a French player on a free transfer, even if you don't plan to play him.
