If You Offer a Player A New Contract

If you offer a player a new contract, right before a transfer window (in this case, summer), can he be sold that transfer window? I have a few players that could be sold to make a decent bit of money and free up wages, but I don't really want to use them next season...So can I sell them after giving them a new contract?

if you mean they are free and are offering them a contract,then each player can only have two clubs per season, so no.

if they are already at the club then its possible.

No, a player that I already have at the club.

So I can give him a new/better contract, then sell him, like a month later? I just don't want to be bogged down with extra wages this next season, so I'm just double checking. Thanks again.

They can be on the books of as many as they like, but can only play in matches for 2 teams a season. (ie if you sign a player that has played for another team and don't play him in any games, he can be sold on)

Offer new contracts to your own players to bump up their value before selling them on?
