Do players eventually learn the new language??

I pretty much bought a South African Player to play in my Brasilian League , and was wondering if he would eventually start understanding portuguese? Also does SI take into account a spanish plaer playing in PORTUGUESE or Brasilian Clubs would learn the language faster since its similarities???

They do learn the language, but how fast depends on the player.

I think the Prtugese/Spanish gap is fairly small, any Brazilians I've ported over to Spain tend to get a good grasp of the language quickly.
