A guide for new players?

Hey everyone,

I have a slightly hard time getting into fm2010 because i have never played a manager game before. Is there some kind of "noobie guide" that explains the basics and the first steps that should be done when starting a game? I have read some of the online manual and while it explains alot of stuff it doesnt really guide me.

As a noob I would download a quality tactic and then muck about with the rest of it. Trekman provides a link to the tactics forum, pick one and that's the hardest part sorted, once you've got used to the rest of the game e.g. transfers etc, you can think about creating your own tactics.

Imo you should avoid the tactical theorems, it might be too much and make the game seem more complicated than it needs to be at an early stage.
