Scout recommending a player who has retired

Getting one of the periodic scout reports and you get the list of high recommendations. Anyway, there is only one player listed here and I tried to click on him see what he looks like and it turns out he has retired. Seems a bit strange to have a recommendation for a player who has retired, and when I checked his reports the player isn't there - and rightly so. Just thought it was very odd that this occured, seen a few things with players after their retirement. I remember on FM09 Beckham retired, and then 12 months later he was in team of the season despite not having played in 2 years and been gone completely for 1 lol.
