anagain
I'm playing a game as Forfar manager and I have just come to the Scottish Cup second round. I noticed that the team make up is the remaining non-league from the earlier rounds, all the SD3 teams...and Inverness Caley Thistle of SD1. It's the final team that has led me to query things. Why a SD1 team when no SD2 teams are included? Haven't Caley just been relegated from the SPL too? Is this a bug? I'm in my first season, by the way. anagain
I just looked up the real world Scottish Cup format and this is what it lists as qualifiers for the second round: SECOND ROUND - SATURDAY 24 OCTOBER 200932 clubs (16 ties) 17 first round winners plus 1 club (bye into 2nd Round) Winners and Runners Up in the Highland League: 1. Cove Rangers 2. Deveronvale Winners of East of Scotland League: Spartans Winners of South of Scotland League: Threave Rovers 10 clubs currently in Scottish Football League Division 3: 1. Albion Rovers 2. Annan Athletic 3. Berwick Rangers 4. East Stirlingshire 5. Elgin City 6. Forfar Athletic 7. Livingston 8. Montrose 9. Queen’s Park 10. Stranraer None of the clubs listed for the first round could include Caley Thistle. I'm guessing it is something to do with the bye listed in the format not being programable in the game. That meant a team had to be taken from elsewhere. Don't know. I'm curious and I'll take a look at the editor to see if that gives a clue.
