Jason the Yank
The "Canadian champion" is to be determined in a 3-team group competition contested by Toronto FC (MLS), Vancouver Whitecaps (USL-1), Montreal Impact (USL-1)
Jason the Yank
The 2 seeded teams from the US are the teams that win the MLS Cup and the Supporters Shield. The 2 US teams that go into the prelimary stage are the winner of the US Open Cup, and the losing MLS Cup finalist. Given how the US picked its teams for the inaugural competition, it appears that if the losing MLS Cup finalist gets in another way (as New England did by virtue of being US Open Cup champions), then that spot will go to the next available team in the overall regular season table (in this case Chivas, as they had the 2nd best 2007 regular season record)

GazTheDoood
Quite a few teams there from unplayable leagues so maybe the detail wouldn't be great. However, i'm all for more competitions.
Jason the Yank
This is the successor to the Champions Cup, which FM already includes. Basically, the CONCACAF Champions Cup will go the way of the UEFA Cup Winners Cup. The Champions League will take its place.
