qwertman
I've seen the Sports Interactive folder in My Docs but which one is the save file? What are the file extensions? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking to reinstall windows and dont want to lose it. Is the database integrated to the save, what else do I need so that my game is undisturbed when i transfer everything over? Thanks
trekman
Your saved games are normally in a folder called games which you'll find within the sports interactive folder. When you reinstall everything make sure that your also install the latest patch and any data updates that you were using otherwise you might have problems. I would suggest that you copy your saved games\any data updates and the latest patch (9.3.0) to a cd\dvd or usb memory stick that way they will be easy to find again. qwertman
ok thanks. So everything like the database for that particular game are all integrated into the saves in the "Games" folder? nothing else is needed?
arsenal_2111
Are you using an edited database? If so, you will need to copy the databases you want to keep from Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2009/db. If not, just copy the save games from Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2009/games.
