joebailey141
Can I pass on my updated database to my brother via the internet? If so what is the easiest way for this to be done (baring in mind I am useless with computers!)? Thanks in advance.

joebailey141
Oh dear............. I can't even send it When I send it in msn I got to: files sports interactive fm2008 db (name of my database) ...........and then it goes to loads of folders within that I can't send and it wont let me send the database as a whole. Any ideas people? Sorry to be a pain - don't really know what I am doing. Thanks again.
taylorsmen
Maybe the file is too big to send over msn,if you have winrar you can zip the folder (zip means compress the folder to make it smaller) if not upload it to filefront, then send the link to your brother
joebailey141
Don't know how to zip/unzip things to be honest. Can you be bothered to explain how I upload to filefront? I'll understand if you don't want to do it!
taylorsmen
No probs, filefront you have to join,so try this instead http://www.zshare.net/ upload your file to the above site,be patient tho as it make take a while (db's are quite big files) maybe 10 mins (guess) then simply copy the url when it's finished the upload, then send the link to your bro to make it a little easier maybe make a copy of the database to your desktop

taylorsmen
what exactly happens when you try and select the folder ? is it not visible ?
joebailey141
No, the folder is there but when I click on it to select for upload it opens a sub folder with lots of different components instead which won't upload. In a nutshell, I cannot select the folder as a whole. The same happens if I try and upload a default database. I have decided upon a lower league game now so having an updated database is not as vital so I will cope without. Thanks again for your help, have to hit the sack now!
