no decent players

i am man city and have all the muny in the world but no-onewants to sign for me, d i have to qualify for champions league b4 there interested or do i hae to have a good run in the champions league b4 this happens

You are not gonna get big players from big clubs until you become one, but there's plenty of GREAT players on "medium clubs" that you can easily sign. If you go the eastern european route the way the AI does you can buy yourself a world class squad within the first window.

Only problem though is that I already find City's squad a freak patchwork with absolutely no tactical consistency so IMO further signings without offloading current players would just make it worse.

Wait till the second season while you dump a player or two every window so you can fully evaluate your current squad with out having to let quality prospects or brand new signings who cost tenths of millions IRL rot on the reserves.

But yeah you need an increase in your reputation to sign the best.

building your rep will increase the number of quality players who want to go to you, get your scouts out to different areas and they willl tell you if the player has interest..
