Cancelled Friendly

My parent club, Fiorentina, cancelled a pre-season friendly with me, Viterbese. Seeing as they're obliged to play me once a season I then tried to re-arrange with them, but they kept rejecting.

Will they eventually get back to me with their own proposed date?? The £30k the match nets me means a lot to our small club :o

I wonder about this aspect also.

I play as Rangers and when i start the game there is a fixed pre-season friendly versus Linfield (our linked club) and it says in the screen that we play them every year but that i am not obliged to play a strong team.

I have now reached the end of season 1 and when i have looked at the pre-season dates and arranged my friendlies there is no automatic match versus Linfield. I have made arrangements to play them myself....but i can understand your issue as Fiorentina must be very busy and may not wish to play a pre-season friendly against a so called 'small club'!!

No, I doubt they will get back to you.

It actually says on the agreement that they do not have to field their full side, so they don't have to accept one for their first team. Try offering a friendly to their reserve team.

The gate money would've been very handy.

When I arrange with their reserve side the projected takings are only £2k. I'll just leave it, and maybe try the occassional proposition through the season, especially in the winter break.

Do Italy even have a winter break?

Yeah, but it's just 10-14 days. Last week in December and first, sometimes the second as well, in January.

EDIT: as an example, I'm in season 10/11 and the break is 20.12 - 9.1
