Introducing the long awaited www.fmpulse.co.uk - The Heartbeat of FM Writing. After weeks and weeks of hard preparation, we have officially opened our doors at 7PM this evening.

With some jaw dropping content, a custom designed mainsite, a sleek forum skin, an SI affiliation already, a fabulous motivated staff team and some fun competitions - there's something for everyone.

First, our Mainsite is a gateway to everything on our forums, with details on our staff team, links to our great Written and Graphical Content and so much more, it's the perfect place for everyone to start their Pulse adventure.

FMPulse's main objective is to get fans heartbeat racing again for their one true love; FM09. We offer so much to re-light your flame, and you'd be foolish not to check us out. Heres just some of the stuff on offer.

Graphics:

We're offering 3 pulsating graphic packs EXCLUSIVE to FMP only, and these include the mass produced FMP'09 Facepacks, which in it's previous name had already racked up well over 25,000 downloads worldwide! This is our most vastly produced graphic style and theres just a ridiculous amount of packs on offer!

However, we have two similar gfx style available to you that have never been seen before. Both based on the idea of Playing Cards, and SRB'09 Facepacks have been hugely produced by our ever-expanding, committed graphics team who have racked up a staggering dosage of downloadable packs in both these styles for you. It's exactly the same with the swish SRB'09 Logos, too.

You can also take part yourself by downloading the Templates, here: SRB logos SRB Facepacks FMP Faces

Talent Packs:

Unique, only to FMPulse - The Heartbeat of FM Writing are these fabulous 'National Talent Packs'.

To keep a steady flow of content, we will be releasing one mega-pack of reviews every weekend during our first month, and we are launching with the great Italian one! Consisting of 14 in-depth scoutings and reviews, our Admin Mike has found 14 gems for you to buy when venturing into the 'Serie' Leagues. All Talent Packs have downloadable shortlists containing the players for your game, too!

Over the next 3 weeks, every weekend we will be churning out another quality talent pack like an arse after a vindaloo! We will soon see Spain by lfc4eva13, Holland by Johno and Denmark by RCD, so stay tuned and keep those eyes peeled!

Competitions:

We've been preparing two effin' fantastic competitions for you over the past several weeks over at fmpulse.co.uk/forums

First, we have 'Bargain Hunt: FMP!', yes! Dicko, the Orange Northern genius is back on our (computer) screens with a new twist on his old show. No longer are you after some crappy antiques, but he wants you to go out and find some cheap as chips bargains every fortnight to meet a set scenario. In week 1, hes after an MK Dons striker, atleast 6 foot and for only 65k! You can find all the details HERE. Its run like a SOTW competition, in that you need not sign up, just enter when you want!

Our second, but biggest tournament is the return of FM Apprentice. Ran last year on FMD, Sir Alan is back on the scene again, but hes actually bought a football club this time! Now in charge of the newly formed 'Elephant and Castle FC', he needs a head scout, and hes hand picking 8 prospects to go through 5 weeks of tough scouting tasks and challenges.

Just like his Tv show, each week one person will be fired, until the final week when the winner will literally be 'hired'! Yes, the winner will win an optional place on the FMP staff team, and rare, FM09 Merchandise including a FM09 Drinking Glass and a pack of 09 Top trumps! It's all great fun and YOU can take part by visiting HERE for information on applying!

Other Writing:

We are the Heartbeat of FM writing, so you'd expect content huh? Well like mentioned before, we have Talent Packs of 10-15 reviews released every week!

But we also have heaps of other written content by our staff team and kind contributors who have donated some stuff. Highlights include Rootsey's brilliant Manchester City Team Guide, .Meth's fantastic Celtic Guide, and perhaps one of the best guides I've ever read; Fedorico's Vysshaya Liga Comprehensive Guide!

We also have a General Rambling about FM2009, again from a kind contributor, aswell as a two part series FM Dilemmas 1 and 2, by Admin Johann.

John's certainly been busy, as he has also wrote THIS guide, which is a great read with a comical approach but with serious helpful points.

Theres LOADS more written content at fmpulse, so head on over and check them out!

But ofcourse, we offer standard sections that you'd expect on any forum too! So, you don't have to be a writer or a scouter to enjoy your time at FMP, and lets see if we can set your Heart Racing for FM again!

Phew, our first week's over!

Yay! It's been extremely tough going and it seems to have gone really fast, but we've made it threw our first week, and we've managed some pretty decent success so far.

We have 146 members and with a staggering 6,000 posts already (even though half of them were probably staff before opening), we're certainly on our way to becoming the home of written content for FM!

Forums:

The forums have been super active since we opened and we already have a good set of core members. We have recently downloaded a new forum skin and have the permission to completely edit it to suit FMPulse's needs, and we're doing just that! We're hard at work to build a quality forum skin that suits our aim; writing!

Our major addition this week however is our brand new 'Hearts' credit system. Get Writing, Get Loved, Get Hearts, Get Prizes!

Here is the link to the announcement thread which explains everything fully. Basically, for every article, review or guide you write, you get a 'heart' added to your profile. At the moment, our current leader is Mike on 14!

In a couple of weeks, member will be able to trade these 'hearts' for special prizes, previews and extra features for them to use on the forums, so go on get writing!

As you'd imagine in a first week, we've had no staff changes and we're doing pretty well together as a group. We have quite a few ideas coming through as it is, and hopefully these will be rolled out soon enough!

We've recently launched and started to promote our Twitter page along with our Toolbar! Both of these will keep you right up to date with the big news and going-ons at FMPulse, so go on, pay them links a visit!

In our Tactics section, lfc4eva13 has been hard at work creating a super successful 4-4-2 variation tactic with Juventus, and it's all set to work for most big teams, why not head over and see if it takes your fancy?

And finally we have our new Sig Contest. You have just under 24 hours left to enter Week 1, but there's some pretty darn good entries already! Are you the next Da Vinci?

FMP Backgrounds -- FMP; Big Picture Facepacks

Our graphics section is still going strong thanks to our staff and members alike who have been hard at working continue-ing our STB logos, SRB Facepacks and also developing some new styles!

The new styles include the innovative FMP Big Picture'09 Faces originally created by Dec but developed by lfc4eva13. There's still alot to do and the design is still in the mock-up phases.

Our Admin Mal has been hard at work making an English megapack of our new FMPulse stadium backgrounds! He's also working on other packs, so why not lighten your FM09 season up and head on over to the forums to Download them?

Writing....it's what we do!

Ofcourse, we are a site hoping to re-light your FM flame by writing some of the best written content around on FM! As mentioned before, our hearts system rewards all our members for spending their time writing great articles - we really do appreciate any contributions, you know?!

Keeping with our promise, we have released another Talent Pack this Sunday. Remember, every weekend will see another pack of atleast 8 reviews from a certain country.

This week we gave our Staff member Johno a chance to prove himself. Having had internet problems all week, Johno has had to rush these a little this weekend and so they are indeed not Player reviews anymore, but 'scouting cards' where he is just simply pointing out players and adding small bits of information - he's leaving a challenge for you, you see!

Next week, we have lfc4eva13's Spanish pack, and most of it is already done. It will be our most in-depth pack yet with some truly breath-taking reviews packed to the brim with detail.

But, onto the positive writing, and our members have been absolutely stars so far, really putting in time and effort into their content. Highlights this week include Josh's Jonathan Zebina guide, Chilver's PNE guide and Berwick's Scottish Third Division Review.

However our 'content of the week' award goes to C'A's Denic Alibec Player Review - perhaps one of the greatest player reviews sene for a very long time?

Competitions:

David Dicko Dickinson's on the look out for quality striker, over 6ft for less than 65k that will sign for MK Dons in Bargain Hunt Week 1. Hurry though, you have just a couple more days to enter!

But, our biggest competition has finally started over this weekend. yes, Sir Alan is back in football and has 8 young apprentices set to battle it out in the boardroom and on the training pitch as they scout for some of the best international talent around for Sir Alan's brand new football club - Elephant & Castle FC.

Task 1 sees the two teams of 4 scout Germany for some cheap stars, before they will need to compile 'German Talent Packs' consisting of atleast 8 mouth-watering reviews, graphics, a shortlist and an index page. But, they all need to collaborate together because the losing team will see one of their members fired from the board room for good.

Remember, the 8 apprentices are fighting for a staff palce on FMPulse along with TWO fantastic FM09 prizes!

I think we've covered jsut about everything, so go and check us out;

Welcome to another update from FMPulse, but we're going to cut to the chase, cut out all the boring crap and bring you links to the very best bits of FMPulse this week!

First of all, there's been a couple of staff changes at the site. We're always looking to add to our top class team, so when C'A, Kobe and Rob were free, and proving they are perfect content makers; we couldn't resist! Oh, and we're about to start some interviews with staff members, so go and check them out HERE

But, probably the biggest change on the site since we last updated you is our brand new default forum skin. Introducing 'Blue Pulse'. It's slightly less in-your-face, and it's much lighter than it's red counterpart (which is still available to use too!)

We're still ironing out any bugs, so please do let us know if you find any.

In terms of Talent Packs, we've been open 3 weeks, and thus have 3 great talent packs! Remember, these are packs of 8 or more short player reviews, plus a downloadable shortlist!

Switzerland -----------------Italian ----------------------Dutch

Overall in the writing department, we now have a whopping 72 player reviews! Staggering! We also have 36 general articles and 16 Team Guides. Things are certainly looking up!

We're absolutely storming away in the FM GFX section too! We have some brand new exclusive styles, including our new FMP'09 Logos, EA Sports Logos, R'09 Faces and our 5 minute old NewFMP'09 faces. All of these are stunning, nifty bits of work and already theres a considerable amount of packs done for most styles.

Ooh, did I mention our new Kit Contest?

Not forgetting our Joke Contest either! Hopefully that'll be up and running by the time you read this!

Also in the Off Topic section is our new OT Battle Contest - registration is now closed, but you can still spectate and watch our members and staff make fools of themselves!

3 weeks in and FMP is still going really strong. We constantly have a large amount of regular members online, and have already reached the 200 member mark and 10,000 post landmark.

I've just realized this very short and quick update has ended up being very large and time-consuming. Ah well, come and Check us out today!
