Loading leagues/players - best setup

New PC arrived this morning. Will hopefully be playing FM into the night.

Just wondering, at the start of the game, does it still give you it's reccommended leagues and nations based on the specs of your computer?

Also, what nations/leagues and/or "all players from certain countries" would give a good overall balance for a long term game, most likely based in Europe.

Thinking about balance of regens in the future here mainly.

Yes, the game will still give you a recommended setup, based on the copy of the game (i.e. FM09 or WWSM09) and the most likely nations with which you'll want to play. It's safe to assume that a league setup can be dropped out in favour of another specific one that you want to play.

I believe the game has improved in its balance of non-loaded leagues' countries, but if you want to have an entirely balanced European game, it would be ideal to load up players from all European nations. Perhaps players from Andorra, Moldova, San Marino, Austria, etcetera can be excluded as including them or not would have little effect on the national team's performance and regen production.
