Removal of Context Menu from X button (Switch)

Hi everyone,

Is anyone else baffled by the decision to remove the context menu from the X button in this year’s instalment and replace it with context action (which is already on the Y button)?

For me the context menu is arguably the most used button outside of confirm and cancel, as it’s the quickest and most convenient way to access the detailed player reports, resting your players after a game, moving players to and from the senior squad etc. Putting it only on the minus button just feels unintuitive and very cumbersome to use.

sorry if this reads as a rant but I just can’t understand why this decision was made: even if the testing showed it to be a good idea why not map the command to both buttons?

imo it’d be great if this could please be patched as it seems like a fairly easy fix to make.

I posted the same a few days back. Makes no sense why they would remap it to the minus button. It just feels awkward

Just posted the same myself. Just got it but haven’t been able to work out how to move my players to/from the reserve team. Not impressed so far and thinking of getting a refund.
