Hopefully you can last longer than Moyes in Spain. I had the brave idea of playing three false nines and three shadow strikers to overload the opponent's defence. Last season it worked quite well. Although this season (at Newcastle) it failed miserably. I think in Spain I will not be as stupid with my tactical decisions. Curse you Steven Taylor! crazybooblady Posted January 21, 2018 Author Share Posted January 21, 2018 Summer of season three update: Transfer summary: The transfer budget for the summer window was just 3 million pounds. Due to the bank balance being so low, I decided against buying players for cash and so signed a few free agents. The positions that I needed the most were a central defender and a central midfielder. I needed to replace Mario Pasalic, who returned to Chelsea after his loan expired and David Rozehnal who retired. The rest of the transfers in were a new back up goalie (I tried to sell my current one as he wanted to leave) and a winger who can play on both sides in case my narrow diamond fails on me. There were no major transfers out. Media prediction for the season: 7th place. Board Expectations: Finish above mid-table. My expectations: Last a full season in a job! They are currently 9th in the league and are media predicted to finish 3rd. Currently I am 6th in the league with Lille who are predicted to finish 7th. I have decided to accept their interview and try and get the job. I just hope Lille do not fire me for doing so. I am also the bookies favourites to get the job. However, I might lose my job at Lille due the new owner wanting to replace me. crazybooblady Posted January 23, 2018 Author Share Posted January 23, 2018 Autumn 2017 Update: Up to now we are meeting the board's expectation of qualifying for Europe this season. I am aiming to reach a semi final in either of the cup competitions this season. I finally spent some money on a permanent transfer for a new central defender, in the joker window, to add some youth to my ageing back line. I am looking to sign a few bosmans in the defence and midfield positions. I also took a punt on a young french free agent striker. You never know he might prove useful in the near future. I also have a few players coming in on a free at the beginning of July. I had a couple of interviews at bigger clubs, but I decided to stay for at least one more year. Inter Milan, the team I beat in the Italian Cup final, actually got relegated in the second season! My first game in charge was the Pescara game. We had a good start to the season, but our form dipped towards the end of the season as we finished 6th. I now have to get 10 points from the first five games of next season or else I be fired.
