How do the Champions play (Budesligua)?

I am still playing with Hoffenheim, Budesligua for 10th season.

I consider my squad getting as good as Schalke and close to Bayern Munich or Dortmund.

Last year, it was my best season and I finished 3rd.

This year, without to many changes in the first 11 and the tactics, I am barely getting to the Euro Cup promotion places.

I seem to be good in defending but cannot score often.

So, my inquiry is if someone could give me some ideas of how do the Champions play?

I am looking for some hints to incorporate in my tactics from seemingly unbeatable teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, MAN UTD etc.
