A central midfielder who is primarily a playmaker, Alena possesses excellent technical ability and has great potential. While his physical game is poor and he suffers from a lack of concentration he can still develop really well, as seen in our example below. He improved dramatically at a young age and after moving to Atletico he managed to establish himself as one of the top playmakers in La Liga. Carles Alena can also be picked up for pretty cheap in the current market, making him a wise investment for anyone playing a possession orientated system looking for a long term playmaker.
