Fixtures after european games/international instructions

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that after you play a midweek euro fixture that you do not have a game coming that weekend. I am playing as spurs and i had a game on the thursday and my next game is tuesday in the Carling cup, whilst there is a full fixture list on the weekend in the prem division. Also when there is a international coming up and it gives you the chance to give international instructions for those choosen players, you can't seem to give them any. The only players that are available are the u19s/u21s the rest are greyed out. It is so anoying, especially when a player has just come back from injury and is not fit gets called up and you can not select for them to be withdrawn.
