I'd go for this one if you're not bothered too much about 3D - it will still handle the 3D replays with no issue (probably not at max settings, but medium is likely).
Best CPU at the price point at the moment (that I can find at least): https://www.box.co.uk/1E6Z9EAABU-HP-14s-fq0000na_2956544.html
Thanks very much for your help!

OK, and do you play in 2D or 3D?
Also, will you only consider HP laptops or are you open to others as well?
I’ve only ever played 2D and I have replays in 3D. I’m open for any really, just looking for the best value for money for around £600.

I'd avoid that. The base clock speed is below the minimum on the FM system requirements. That's not to say the game won't work, but the CPU will get throttled under load so you could well end up with less than ideal performance.
What else will you be using the computer for?
Not much else other than FM and general internet usage. The laptop won’t be required for work purposes.

My 7 year old HP Pavilion is struggling with the game so maybe time for an upgrade. It’s never let me down so I’m leaning towards HP again, and found this one. Opinions? Any other better suggestions for a similar price range.

Out of interest if I did want to move to 3D, is there anything else you’d suggest?
