I definitely agree with this. I raised the point in a previous post. I think the manager reputations need to be more dynamic. There are way too many managers aged 60+ in the top jobs as the game goes on, because no younger managers have a high enough reputation due to not winning trophies. If you take a team predicted to finish 15th to the top 5, there should be a big bump in reputation. Overperformance in the league is definitely not rewarded enough in the current game.

As far as I know, the newgen quality will be based on your club's youth recruitment stat and the quality of your Head of Youth Development. So obviously, top clubs will have better regens, but it is possible you can get some good regens at a lower tier club.

I haven't noticed this much as my farthest save has been to 2029. However, there are definitely issues to be solved regarding managerial appointments. I agree that as many teams as possible should have managers, particularly the top teams in unloaded nations to provide more options. I also think more dynamic manager reputations are needed to allow more new managers to get higher rated jobs. There are too many instances of 65-70 year old managers in the top jobs. Maybe league placements in relation to club need to have more impact on reputations. That way you could have situations like Moyes getting the United job, without having won trophies. There also needs to be more manager movements for other teams. Nobody manages Real Madrid for 8/9 years. If the issues you mention happen, then that's definitely something to be looked at.

Daniel Levy is a notoriously canny negotiator. Another bargain!

I don't know why I'm wasting my time, but here goes. Look folks, I get what you're saying. It doesn't affect the game and anything to do with the players quality. BUT, SI are involved with groups that are fighting discrimination within football. It's a harmless addition designed to raise awareness about people in society that are discriminated against. It doesn't affect you, so don't worry about it. But it might resonate with ONE person out there, who thinks, "huh, what if my favourite player were gay? I guess it wouldn't matter to me, because he's still my favourite player." Job done. If you don't care, you can easily move on. There are just as many of us who do like having it as part of the game. It raises awareness, nothing more, noting less. Let's all relax and play our silly management game.

It's part of life and as such, should be part of a game that strives for realism. And if the reaction of someone is that gay people "should go be gay somewhere else", then perhaps that's a sign that this is a necessary inclusion. It doesn't hurt you, or affect your life, so go and enjoy your game and stop worrying about it. SI haven't "subjected you" to anything. I for one am happy to have this be a feature of the game.

I'm about a season in now and I'm enjoying most of it. I do like the playing time progression for players and the ease of monitoring players moods/happiness on the squad screen. I haven't had much of an issue with the match engine as some people seem to have had. It's not perfect, but it must be near impossible to get a very realistic engine. The game moves much more quickly and smoothly than in the past for me, so that's great.
One little nitpick I would have though would be some of the choices regarding the interface. The youth squads have been moved into the Development Centre tab, so it requires a bit of unnecessary clicking to get there. I tend to spend quite a bit of time interacting with those squads, so it felt as though last year's layout, where there are individual tabs on the side for each squad was much faster and easier. It was also very easy to choose first team players to give a run out in the reserves. It feels as though the new interface has complicated the system a little bit. As with all things, probably just takes some getting used to.
All in all though, good job to all the folks on SI, and the mods on here dealing with the carry on in this thread over the last month!

Into february in my first season and having a blast so far. I love how fast the game moves between matches now. Feels like much faster moving through a season than last year. And a big thanks to all the SI staff for getting the bug dealt with quickly on release day. Good work as always folks!

Sorry if this has been raised before. I tried searching but couldn't find anything.
An ongoing issue I've noticed is the salaries clubs offer you being pretty unrealistic. On my current save, I left Real Madrid after 6 seasons, having won the Champions League in 3 of the last 4 years and La Liga every season. My reputation couldn't be any higher. When I started to get job offers, the salaries they offer are really low. Arsenal offered about 35,000 a week! Inter less than 70k. No room for negotiating past 5k extra. In reality, a manager would laugh these clubs out of the room. A manager like this would comfortably make over 200k a week. Then later, after turning down the jobs, they hire a lower reputation manager at about 150k a week. It's a small issue, but just hurts the realism a bit.

It's possible they lowballed him on wages, or didn't offer enough playing time, but I agree that he then shouldn't be unhappy. This is why I use the in-game editor, for when the game asks strangely! I'd just use that to ship him off and get my 47mil!
