  1. These aren't issues I am facing. which definitely suggests that the issue causing your keeper to underperform lie elsewhere.

Historically my keeper has performed well. Over time our team got better.

This season he has been performing well above expectations

I do expect my keepers to have at least 76% save ratio and his are well above that with a good expected goals prevented number too, and if you look at the rest of the keepers, the top sides in my league are all showing keepers doing well.

The coach reports on my keeper also tell the same story.

Keeping clean sheets are also not an issue.

A lot of this is down to how my tactical system is set up and more importantly how I react during games to what the opposition are doing. My game is reactive, if I see the AI making a role change, I will react. Its not difficult to do that. I am not advocating changing your tactic to something else, but recognising when the AI has made a change and how you can adapt. Things I have done include:
    1. Maintaining my system but changing my DM from RPM to DM
    2. Using OIs to shut down threats
    3. Doing substitution changes tactically.

We have some of the highest possession in the game and we also lead the league in possession won which shows how well we dominate games. And even when we dominate so comprehensively we hardly give away any quality shots against us.

Now if these are the numbers my keeper is generating which are completely different to the OPs then the issue cannot be match engine related.

Exactly, this is my point. The game is telling me that is what should happen, but 9/10 that does not happen, so something is broke???

The game is just telling you that on that mentality with the current team instructions and roles and duties the players will be thrown forward to look for goals.

When you are playing on very high tempo like that and on that mentality they are likely just to try a low % pass or shot, this could easily lead to turnovers because your shot quality is low.

Playing on very high mentality does not guarantee better chances. Studying your tactic to see what you can do better will. This includes things like creating overloads, moving a team around patiently creating space. Or dropping your lines of engagement to draw them out and hitting early crosses and pass into space.

I never go very attacking to score goals, I have even dropped down to balanced, gone wide and slowed my tempo to move the opposition around making them tired before switching to high tempo to take advantage of a tired team that has been chasing me around trying to win the ball.

  3. I have noticed this happening and it does so if several things happen. There is a workaround and I notice that it doesn't happen when i follow a specific workflow. Its not a perfect solution, but it may help you.

When choosing to import you need to ensure you do not leave ANY previous import windows open. Leave excel open but choose the option, File> Open > search for your html file and choose that file, it should open in a new window. If there are missing entries, you must close that file again before you try and again. Do not leave that window open.

You can't copy more than 200 line entries. So you need to limit all searches to 200 or less.
When copying if you do any one of these you wont capture every entry.

    1. If the search page requires you to scroll down to view every entry and you elect to control p without selecting any player.

When you do this you only capture the visible data on the first screen.

    2. If you select the first entry, control A to select every player and then choose to control p.

When you do this you will generate data lines where there will be missing data. For example you could end up with a whole bunch of players with some empty entries in the name field.

These are the two main ways I know which produce missing entries in your import. To avoid this you need to:

Limit field to less than 200 entries
Choose first data line and control A to select all data entries.
Scroll to the last entry by mousewheeling, being careful not to deselect entries, otherwise you need to start again.
Now scroll up to anywhere on the first page and hit control P to save the HTML File.

I have found that by doing it this way, you avoid missing entries. At least thats my workaround whenever i get missing entries.

    Other known issues:
Data field changes from a numeric value to a date value. As far as I am aware this could be a localization issue for excel, as it does not happen to me, but its happened to a few scandinavians I know. Perhaps checking on your local excel forums can help as this is largely an excel related issue and has nothing to do with Sports Interactive.

    I hope this helps.

  4. Yeah just wanted to add on that the entire scheduling system for group and knockouts needs to be looked at it. Teams are playing home and away matches even when you choose the option NOT to play 2 legged matches. So I suspect all the schedules are bugged except for league format. Its very easy to replicate.

Just set one human team and AI the other fifteen teams and you will see the scheduling is all wrong

  5. While this may seem to be a valid discussion, it isn't a bug report. The devs need gamesaves for them to respond to. Now I for one agree that obfuscating information doesn't help new users. The distinction between ongoing and finished for scouting assignments seems stupid. Any user would think that both should lead to increased scouting knowledge.

However, for leagues to generate realistic transfer activity and newgen distribution, these need to be playable. That's been the case for many years now.  I would recommend that if anyone wants attention to be drawn to this, or if they are hoping developers respond then please provide game saves, even if its for a perceived bug or a FR.

    Thank you.
